Terms of sale

ARTICLE 1 – Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded by KARL HAB COMPANY, SAS with registered office at 14 boulevard Exelmans, 75016 Paris, France, registered under number 942 376 096 RCS Paris (hereafter “Seller”), with consumers and non-professional buyers (“Client(s)”), via the website www.24hbooks.com (“Seller’s Website”).

They define in particular the conditions of ordering, payment, delivery and right of withdrawal regarding the books and signed/limited edition prints offered for sale.

Any order placed on the Seller’s Website implies full acceptance of these GTC by the Client.

These GTC prevail over any other conditions, unless otherwise agreed in writing. They are accessible at any time on the Seller’s Website and may be modified. The applicable version is the one in force at the date of order confirmation.

ARTICLE 2 – Products Offered

The items sold on the Seller’s Website include:

  • Art books

  • Fine art prints in limited and/or signed editions

The main characteristics of each Product are described in the corresponding product page. Photographs are non-contractual.

The Products are available for delivery worldwide.

ARTICLE 3 – Validity of Offers

Products are offered within the limits of available stock. In the case of an unavailable product, the Seller will promptly inform the Client and refund the payment using the same method.

ARTICLE 4 – Orders

4.1 Order Process

The Client selects one or more Products and confirms the order after verifying the basket. Prices shown include VAT but exclude shipping and customs duties.

Before payment, the Client must:

  • Accept these GTC

  • Provide contact and shipping information

  • Choose a delivery method

  • Proceed to secure payment

An order confirmation email is then sent. The sale is considered final.

The Seller reserves the right to cancel or refuse any suspicious or abnormal order.

4.2 Modifications & Cancellation

Once confirmed, an order cannot be modified or canceled, except within one hour of confirmation by emailing contact@karlhab.com. This does not affect the Client’s right of withdrawal (Article 9).

ARTICLE 5 – Prices and VAT

Prices are in euros (€), including applicable VAT, but excluding shipping and import duties for non-EU countries.

VAT rates depend on product type:

  • Books: 5.5% reduced VAT in France

  • Signed and numbered fine art prints: 5.5% reduced VAT (as per articles 278 septies and 98 A of the French Tax Code)

  • Other prints: 20% standard VAT

For deliveries within the EU, the OSS system applies: VAT is adjusted based on the buyer’s country. For deliveries outside the EU, prices are displayed excluding VAT, and import taxes may apply.

ARTICLE 6 – Payment

Payment is made online at the time of order confirmation. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express

  • Apple Pay

Payments are processed via Shopify Payments.

Orders are validated only after full payment.

ARTICLE 7 – Delivery

Orders are shipped from Paris, France. Delivery times vary by destination:

  • France:

    • Mondial Relay: 5,00 €

    • Colissimo:

      • 0–1 kg: 9,99 €

      • 1–5 kg: 14,99 €

  • EU + Switzerland + UK:

    • 0–1 kg: 19,99 €

    • 1–5 kg: 29,99 €

  • Rest of Europe + Maghreb:

    • 0–1 kg: 29,99 €

    • 1–5 kg: 39,99 €

  • Rest of the World:

    • 0–1 kg: 39,99 €

    • 1–2 kg: 49,99 €

    • 2–5 kg: 74,99 €

Tracking information is provided by email upon dispatch. Delivery delays do not justify cancellation or compensation unless otherwise stated by law.

ARTICLE 8 – Transfer of Ownership

Ownership is transferred only after full payment. Risk passes to the Client at delivery.

ARTICLE 9 – Right of Withdrawal / Returns

In accordance with European law, the Client has 14 business days from receipt to request a return or exchange, without justification.

Conditions:

  • Product must be unused, in original condition and packaging

  • Return shipping is at the Client’s expense

  • Refund is processed within 14 business days after return

Exceptions (non-returnable items):

  • Signed, numbered, or made-to-order fine art prints

  • Custom products

ARTICLE 10 – Legal Guarantees

Products are covered by:

  • The legal guarantee of conformity (L217-4 to L217-14 of the Consumer Code)

  • The legal guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code)

ARTICLE 11 – Personal Data

Client data is collected and processed to fulfill orders. In compliance with the GDPR, Clients have the right to access, rectify or delete their data by writing to contact@karlhab.com.

ARTICLE 12 – Intellectual Property

All site content (texts, images, logos) is the exclusive property of KARL HAB COMPANY or its partners. Any reproduction or use is prohibited without prior written consent.

ARTICLE 13 – Governing Law – Language

These GTC are governed by French law and written in English. In the event of a dispute, only the French version shall be binding.

ARTICLE 14 – Disputes

In case of complaint, the Client must first contact the Seller at contact@karlhab.com. If no resolution is found, the Client may use the European ODR platform:
